1. Agreement to Terms
By creating an account or using Aura (www.auranotes.ai), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
Aura is an AI-powered note workspace. The service includes:
- Note capture, editing, and organization
- AI-powered features including writing assistance, chat, research, cognitive extraction, synthesis, and daily briefings
- Knowledge graph, wiki links, and semantic search
- Template-based scaffolding
AI features are powered by third-party AI models (currently OpenAI). AI-generated content is machine-produced and may contain inaccuracies. You should review AI outputs before relying on them for important decisions.
3. Your Account
- You must provide a valid email address and password
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- You must be at least 16 years of age to use Aura
- One person per account; accounts cannot be shared
4. Your Data
- You retain all rights to the content you create in Aura
- We do not sell your data to third parties
- We do not use your notes to train AI models
- Your notes are processed through OpenAI's API to provide AI features; OpenAI's enterprise API terms prohibit using API data for model training
- You may request an export or account deletion by emailing hello@auranotes.ai from your account email address
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Aura to store or distribute illegal content
- Attempt to circumvent security measures or access other users' data
- Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the service
- Reverse-engineer the AI features or prompt systems
6. Billing and Subscription
- Free tier: available indefinitely with limited AI features
- Premium tier: $10/month or $96/year, billed through Stripe
- 14-day free trial included with Premium signup
- You may cancel at any time; access continues through your billing period
- No refunds for partial billing periods
- Prices may change with 30 days notice to active subscribers
7. AI Features Disclaimer
- AI-generated content (suggestions, organization, synthesis, briefings) is provided as-is and may contain errors
- Aura is not a substitute for professional, legal, medical, or financial advice
- You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI outputs
8. Limitation of Liability
Aura is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aura's total liability for any claims arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Service Availability
- We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
- We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice
- We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with notice
10. Termination
- You may request account deletion by emailing hello@auranotes.ai from your account email address
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
- Verified deletion requests are processed within 30 days, except records we must retain for security, billing, fraud prevention, or legal obligations
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via the email address associated with your account. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
